LIBCOR Appoints Programs and Planning Committee to Strengthen Community Initiatives

Kigali, Rwanda – November 1, 2024

The Liberian Community in Rwanda (LIBCOR) has taken a significant step forward in strengthening community support and engagement by appointing a Programs and Planning Committee. This committee, appointed by LIBCOR Chairman Emmanuel Patrick, includes seven members who will focus on developing and coordinating programs aimed at addressing key needs within the Liberian community in Rwanda.

The committee will play a vital role in organizing community activities and initiatives related to education, health, employment, and cultural integration. By focusing on these areas, LIBCOR aims to build a more united and supportive community where members feel at home and empowered.

The members of the Programs and Planning Committee are:
1. Ms. Marjuin Eddie - Chairperson
2. Mr. Isaac M. Supu- Vice Chairperson
3. Ernest MG Wollo - Secretary General
4. Thomasline Massa Washington-Member
5. Ms. Jessica Wonloun-Member
6. Mr. Thomson Gaylah-Member
7. Milcah B Perry- Member

Chairman Emmanuel Patrick said, “This committee is a big step toward making sure LIBCOR serves our community well. With these members’ skills and dedication, we are confident that we can create
programs that meet the needs of Liberians in Rwanda.”

The newly appointed Chairperson of the Programs and Planning Committee, Miss Marjuin Eddie expressed gratitude on behalf of herself and her colleagues, saying, “We are deeply honored by this opportunity to serve. I want to thank Chairman Patrick and the National Administrative Council (NAC) for trusting us to help move our community forward. Together, we are committed to making a positive impact.”

The committee will hold regular meetings to review progress and bring forward new ideas, working closely with LIBCOR leadership to ensure that all programs are inclusive and beneficial.
